Like the well-known All-on-4, it replaces an entire arch of missing teeth with a fixed, permanent prosthesis anchored by implants. The difference is that All-on-X adapts the number of implants to your unique anatomy — rather than defaulting to four regardless of your bone structure, bite force, or arch size. At Concept Dentistry, we most commonly place six implants per arch. More contact points mean better force distribution, less stress on each individual implant, and a stronger long-term result. Yes — on surgery day, any remaining teeth are removed, your implants are placed, and a full set of provisional (temporary) fixed teeth is attached in the same appointment. You leave with a functional smile you can use. Those provisionals stay in place during your healing period. Once your implants have fully fused with your jawbone — typically around four months — we bring you back to place your final, permanent teeth. The process takes time to do right, and that healing phase is what makes the result last a lifetime.

Six implants distribute the forces of chewing across more points in the jaw, reducing stress on each individual implant and on the prosthetic arch itself. This is especially important for patients with strong bite forces, longer arches, or those who want the most durable long-term outcome. The standard four-implant protocol was designed as a minimum — we choose six as our benchmark because it gives our patients a stronger, more stable result. That said, the exact number is always determined by your 3D scans and anatomy, not a formula.

Many patients who were told they weren't candidates for traditional implants are excellent All-on-X candidates. Implants can be strategically angled to reach areas of the jaw with greater density, often eliminating the need for bone grafting. The best way to know for certain is a 3D scan of your jaw, which we perform during your consultation. Even complex cases can often be treated — we'll give you an honest picture at your first visit.

Most healthy adults qualify. Factors that can affect eligibility include uncontrolled diabetes, long-term use of certain bone-sparing medications, and severe immune conditions. If you have underlying health concerns, we'll review them at your consultation and give you an honest assessment.

For the first few weeks, you'll follow a soft diet to give yourself time to adjust to your new teeth and bite. During the bulk of your healing, you can eat most foods — the main thing to avoid is biting directly into things. So yes, you can have a burger, you just need to cut it and chew on your back teeth. Once we fabricate your final prosthetic, virtually anything is back on the table. Apples, corn on the cob, steak — it's all fair game. Most patients are genuinely surprised by how few restrictions they have once fully healed.

Our all-inclusive fee is currently $33,000 per arch. This covers everything from start to finish. There are some circumstances where the fee may vary — for example, if the scope of surgery needs to expand to include extensive grafting or additional sedation appointments. Once you accept treatment, the fee is broken into three parts: $3,000 for records, $15,000 for the surgery, and $15,000 for your final prosthetic. From there, we apply any insurance benefits and financing to help structure payments that work for your situation. Most dental insurance plans provide limited coverage for this type of treatment, but our coordinators will review your specific plan and apply every available benefit. We work with CareCredit, Proceed Finance, and Cherry Finance to help make monthly payments manageable.

For most patients, the comparison comes down to quality of life over time. Daily care is simple: brush twice a day as you would natural teeth, and use a water flosser (such as a Waterpik) to clean underneath and around the arch where a standard toothbrush can't reach. Twice-yearly professional cleanings are important — our hygienists use specific instruments and techniques for implant care. We also take radiographs yearly to monitor bone health around your implants and catch anything early. With consistent hygiene and regular follow-up, your implants and prosthetic can serve as an exceptional long-term solution for tooth replacement.

Clinical studies show a 97–98% success rate for full-arch implants in healthy, non-smoking patients. With six implants rather than four, there is also greater built-in redundancy — if one implant were to have difficulty integrating, the others maintain the structural integrity of the restoration while it's addressed.
