Concept Dentistry’s West Fargo Dental Care Office opened in the spring of 2015. Our office is excited to offer our customers excellent dental care in the Fargo, North Dakota area. We have equipped our office with advanced dental equipment and our dentists work to make sure your teeth are healthy and strong.

Ann Slama, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Ann Slama wanted to be many things growing up – a teacher, a cleaning lady, an engineer – but says once she decided to become a dentist, the rest fell into place. Once accepted into dental school, she flourished. Dr. Slama graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in the top of her class allowing for entrance into the prestigious dental honor society, OKU.
Dr. Slama has a knack for making people – young and old – feel comfortable. It’s a joke around that office that you’ll commonly hear laughter coming out of her room. She is passionate about creating healthy beautiful smiles for all ages that will last for a lifetime. From the moment you walk in the door, she wants you to enjoy your time in the office and enjoy your smile even more.
Dr. Slama loves to learn – education is a top priority. She continually improves herself through attending the best continuing education courses in the country to stay on top of the ever-changing world of dentistry and that makes coming to work exciting every day. Most recently she earned her Fellowship award with the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinguished award earned by only a small percentage of the dental community. Her enthusiasm for education extends to her patients as well. She strives to make the complexities of dentistry easy for you to understand.
Did you know? I grew up in California and life’s journey landed me in North Dakota where I couldn’t be happier. So, the first weeks of winter are always an adjustment for this California girl. I spend more time than I’d like to admit watching tv and can be caught singing along with the radio while working!
Brian Bulik, DDS
Fargo, ND and Valley City, ND
Dr. Brian Bulik received his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2010. From that time he has been devoted to mastering the latest technology in computer-aided dentistry (CAD/CAM), allowing him and his team to deliver the best contemporary dentistry has to offer. He is dedicated to receiving the finest continuing education from around the country.
When not in the dental office, you can often times find Dr. Bulik at the airport, heading someplace to continually broaden his skills through numerous courses on advanced dentistry topics. As a result, his staff and partners are always on the forefront of the newest techniques in dentistry
Dr. Bulik takes great pride in his effort to continually grow and improve Concept Dentistry for everyone. Additionally, he has given lectures on the use of CAD/CAM capabilities as well as 3D radiography for diagnosis and implant planning.

Josh Hanson, DDS

Dr. Hanson is a graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry. He and his wife, Amber, both grew up in West Fargo and are looking forward to working and raising their own family in this wonderful community. He hopes his passion for dentistry will help people get excited about their own dental health and all the benefits a healthy mouth can bring. He strives to provide an enjoyable experience in a comfortable and relaxed environment while meeting the needs of each individual patient.

Registered Dental Hygienist
April has been a hygienist at Concept Dentistry for over 8 years. She works in both the Fargo and Valley City offices. She is a graduate of North Dakota State College of Science with a degree in Dental Hygiene. April enjoys making the dentist a fun place to visit! You can catch her singing along to the radio, treating her patients to a concert – free of charge, of course. She also makes your visit enjoyable with her gentle care and kind attitude toward patients of all ages.
“I have always been interested in my own teeth and oral health, so it only made sense that I help others with their own! I really enjoy helping people understand and take pride in their oral health. Also, I love doing Six Month Smiles – showing our patients their before and after pictures during treatment and the smile on their face when they are finished is extremely rewarding!”
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
“I enjoy making a home-cooked meal and curling up on the couch watching a movie with my husband.”
Lindsey
Registered Dental Hygienist
Lindsey has been a hygienist at Concept Dentistry for over 8 years and works at both the Fargo and Valley City offices. She is a graduate of North Dakota State College of Science with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Lindsey’s priority is patient comfort – she is always willing to spend extra time with you to make you feel more relaxed or offer additional explanations about treatment. She is also the best at giving movie suggestions during your time at our office.
“As a dental hygienist I am most excited to meet new people and form relationships with patients that will hopefully continue for many years. I am most passionate about being able to make a difference in someone’s oral health and enhance their personal confidence in their smile – whether it is through healthier tissues, whiter teeth or filling a space. Smiles are contagious and people should share them.”
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
“I wish I could say I was good at crafts, but usually I am going to the movies or out to dinner with my friends and family.”

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Bob Bulik is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who provides sedation for dental treatment at Concept Dentistry. Bob graduated with his degree in Nursing from North Dakota State University in 1978. He continued his education at Minneapolis School of Anesthesia, graduating in 1982, giving him more than 33 years of experience as an anesthesia provider. Bob’s many years of experience with patients of all ages shows in his patient interactions. His ability to make his patients feel comfortable and at ease prior to their procedures, is second only to his focus on patient safety.
Bob is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and has been providing anesthesia in a variety of settings both locally and nationally since 1982.
“Every day I have the pleasure of knowing that I am helping patients during very stressful times in their lives. My goal is to make their experience as comfortable as possible – before, during and after their procedure. It’s satisfying knowing that the sedation I provide allows someone who was fearful of the dentist or dental treatment achieve better oral health and overall health. I wanted to become a CRNA because I enjoy the diversity of work and the diversity of people I encounter on a daily basis. Each patient is unique and can present their own challenges. This motivates me to stay up-to-date in my education and techniques, so I know I am providing the best care available today.”

Sedation Coordinator
Hillary has been working in the dental profession for 5 years and works at the Fargo office. She graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in 2014 with a dental assisting degree. Hillary loves to smile, laugh and keep an upbeat attitude while at work. It would not be a normal day at the office if you did not hear a giggle from Hillary!
